Senior Construction Project Manager

Objective: Provides the overall planning, coordination and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet the client’s needs, specifications, cost and schedule. Maintains management and project facilitation for the successful completion per compliance, contractual, company and client requirements. May supervise office/field administrative staff as well as other Project Managers

Essential Functions:

• Maintains the position of main point of contact and Liaison to Executive Management on projects
• Review Market Financial with Executive Management
• Building the Quarterly Review Presentation for your Market
• Supervise and Evaluate Staff performance on a monthly basis
• Review and approve weekly Timesheets, Credit Card, and Reimbursement request
• Conduct a Weekly Project Call with your team (WIP Call)
• Review P&L for all Projects with Project Managers
• Manage Project Work load within Project Managers and Project Coordinator, while maintaining your own projects
• Scheduling of Journeyman and Superintendents
• Manage and Oversee the Bid and Job Calendars
• Approve all Office, Material, Tool, and/or Equipment purchases, CC Reports, Vehicle Reimbursements Reports and expense reports
• Review/Approve PO’s, all Invoices, and Closeout Packages
• Establish and maintain project goal and success criteria that meets the client needs.
• Coordinate any necessary due diligence efforts on behalf of the client, maintain and delivering all appropriate documentation
• Act as the primary senior level contact with the client throughout the duration of the project
• Develop and Cultivate Client Relationships
• Manage Golden Sands New Clients and Existing Clients for New Lines of Business
• Work with Executive Management and departments of RFP’s
• Review and Manage office P&L and Budget
• Regularly perform random audits of projects in viewpoint
• Participate and oversee pre-analitication and bid evaluation process

Supervisory Responsibility

Supports in supervising Project Managers and Project Coordinators in your market

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and move between 10 - 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 50+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.

Travel

Must be willing to travel as necessary including overnights out-of-town and weekends.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma

10+ years of supervisory or progressive project management

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Science
